Compliance without the headache.
DCP published approved initial and annual course lists and completion forms on September 30, 2026. The lists include free resources and paid providers, with some course materials still "coming soon". Your obligation under PA 26-50 doesn't move: 8 paid hours per caregiver, annual continuing education from the approved list, and a signed record for every completion, producible on demand. Companza keeps all of it, whatever training you use - so you can get back to running your agency.
DCP's approved lists and two completion forms are published. The published training pages do not describe a state portal (see the tracker). Companza is the records layer, not a training provider.
How it works
- Add your caregivers. Enter your roster once — or send us a list and we'll set it up for you.
- They train wherever. A state portal if one is offered, your existing LMS, an in-house session. Companza isn't the course - it's where the completion lands.
- You watch the dashboard. From January 1, 2027, covered employees need at least 8 paid hours of initial training within 90 days of hire and, under the statute text, at least 8 paid hours of annual continuing education plus every approved program at least once every two calendar years. DCP's page says 8 paid hours at least once every two calendar years. We do not say which reading DCP will enforce (both side by side). Prior initial training may satisfy the new-hire requirement with the proof required by §1(a)(2).
- Keep the paperwork together. File signed completion forms against the right caregiver, keep a copy, and give one to the employee. Use your training records to prepare your annual DCP attestation.
What you're protected from
The law doesn't just require training — it requires proof. Every completion needs a signed attestation form §1(c). Your agency must keep program content summaries and completion forms on file, and submit an annual attestation to DCP starting January 1, 2027 §1(e). If the state ever asks, "show me" — Companza is designed to be how you show them, in minutes instead of a weekend of spreadsheets.
